I have an old but I like to think classic system (Rega Planar 3 RB300/ Naim Nait (upgraded with Mk II components)/ Arcam Alpha 5 CD/ Kef Q5s). All works well ,and items have been serviced over recent years, only issue I have is with the cartridge a Nagaoka MP11 Boron. Clearly there are no replacement styli around anymore and I believe whilst an MP20 will fit I am not clear if it is a straightforward replacement and may be spherical tip. So it seems a new cartridge will be needed but which one given my ageing kit - would love tp hear your thoughts ! Thanks.

Hi Alan,
It's great to see you here, so welcome to The Art of Sound, however, would you mind whizzing over to the Welcome section to give the natives a bit of an introduction to yourself, your system & your musical tastes?
Best way of being sure of a warm welcome from all.
Cheers

Hi Alan, and welcome aboard. What Chris said, ;)

Regarding the cartridge, how much do you want to spend?

Hi and welcome Mr Straker (Ed S, or your real family name I wonder?)

Go on the Musonic site and buy a new type stylus, as it seems the current models share the same body. So, an MP110 would be the new replacement. Might be worth a phone call to Musonic to confirm first. They're a good firm and P&P is free from memory..
