Hugh is my first name, apparently the scottish name for Hugh is Shugg, which is what my scots mate calls me, amongst other things :)

If so, you are in for a treat. This amp has been compared to those costing 10k. Lets just say that I'm extremely happy with mine. The work that Anthony may undertake on your Puresound will add enormous musical/sonic value as well as making it look nice too.

Well that's part of the plan, I bought this Bewitch from a chap who said this was one of the first 10 imported into the UK by Guy, then he changed the name to Puresound.
I'm a little unsure as to whether the one I have is directly comparable to the current Puresound.
I'm also unsure whether to do a full mod and use it as a monoblock and keep the eclipse pre which is a good pre-amp.

So advice I will need, as to which way to go.

Having spoken to Guy Sergeant I can confirm that the first ten that still carry the name Bewitch are indeed the same as the ones that followed bearing the name Puresound. I guess your best bet would be to call him yourself on 01822 612449 and check by providing him with the serial number.

The issue is whether the transformers have been specified for use in the UK and by that I mean 240 Volts not 220. If that is the case then Anthony will be able to make yours sound comparable to mine. As for the monoblock option I strongly advise that you get Anthony to undertake that job too. He'll be able to explain to you exactly why. Lets just say that he's spotted an issue with the circuit that when addressed improves the sound quality enormously...
