I thought it worth mentioning to those of you (like me) who use a DVD or Blu-Ray player as a transport for playing CDs. Recently I purchased a Sony BDP
S470, and while it is generally good, there is one very annoying design flaw.
The problem is that using the remote you cannot numerically input a desired track selection, only the skip function can be used. So if you want to go from track 1 to track 10 you have to skip through each track along the way instead of simply inputting "10".
I never experienced this problem with any other player, and when I contacted Sony Canada, it was confirmed that it was designed that way.
It certainly shows you can take nothing for granted!
