Hello All
On the topic of my introduction, let me begin by saying that I am no serious music listener but do have interests in electronics. Having seriously sold on the home theatre sales pitch, I did try to bring home the cinema experience. :( However that was not to be and I came back to good old stereo music.
Not really an electronics guy by qualification nor profession, but it still tempts me... I have some good memories of building kit amps/equalisers, etc only to see some of them burn and pop on switching on.....:lol: Well, that was then, now with young kids, I tend to listen to music when no one is around, which is rare to begin with....So between the Jayzee's, 50 cents, Eminem's and Beyonce's numbers on request of my kids, I occasionally go back to listening some nice old rock songs...
I have tried a few gear over the years, now listening through a denon 2910 cd, Cyrus Pre Xvs2 and Bel Canto S300/Parasound A21 via a pair of B&W 804S'. This class D debate has got my serious attention and am busy trying to evaluate the best of Bel Canto/Parasound sound.....I think Parasound is winning, albeit not by much..... but the size of the beast that it is, I could easily fit my denon, bel canto and Cyrus in the Parasound case...:lol: The missus' not happy, but then so is life..you can't please everyone... ..:lolsign:
I have been through some of the members' systems and you guys do some serious listening, I have to say....!!
