Brilliant stuff, Ruben - just what this section of the forum is for! :)

Got any links to websites where the balls and egg cups can be bought? The reason I ask, is that I suspect these might not be as easily available in the UK, as they are where you live.

Nice pic - some great kit there, particularly the EAR amps. What are the speakers?

I just checked Rubens thread at http://www.hifi4all.dk/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=88291

The egg cups where bought in Netto and the the balls in Jysk Nordic; two danish chains that can also be found in the UK. However I doubt that you can find these articles in the stores today.

http://www.netto.co.uk

I think that the part is to find a replacement for the egg cups; the bouncing balls can always be found... or grown :eyebrows:

There is a guy selling them a little more expensive on ebay

8 cups for about 10 euros - still pretty cheap

The speakers are horn prototypes that a good friend and I made - the ones on the picture are with a coral flat 5 full range speaker - but we are trying to design one that holds a 15 " dual concentric Tannoy - though that does give some challenges - about triple size

Ah, nice one, Ruben. That'll make it much easier to replicate what you've done. There's nothing worse that seeing something you want, and not being able to get it! ;)

The speakers look very interesting indeed. I'd love to hear them. I love the idea of 'audio meets'. We do the same thing in the UK.

Have you read any of the threads here about the 'Scalford Hall show'? If not, search the site and check out the archives - you'll find lots of interesting stuff there :)

Very neat indeed, i like the whole idea & the way they look to :) In fact it wouldn't be too difficult to use a drill press to drill a hole in one of each pair of egg cups & tap a thread & put a threaded insert in so it could be screwed to whatever it was supporting ;)

Here's something I just thought about seeing the link to the German eBay seller with the egg cups. Do you think he/she thinks something weird is going on if multiple orders for their wares are suddenly received from the uk. Say 50 on the forum decided to try the egg cup/bouncy ball idea then out of nowhere the seller gets what will probably be a large number of orders from a foreign country on a one off basis. That could scree your forward stock control planning...
