Anyone tried NJC Audio's Monitor II headphone amp?

Seen one rave review of this elsewhere but can't find anything else on the web - have any AoS folk got any experience with this unit?

It looks well made and seems worth a punt, perhaps ask them would they do sale or return if it did not work out. But Class A it should be quite nice

There's a couple of mentions of it there, but nothing exhaustive in terms of performance review.

If you buy it on-line you have of course got 7 days to make up your mind under the distance selling regulations? You can return it for a full refund if you are not happy.

Just came across this post, I have one of those amps, I got mine about 8 months or so ago as I was looking for something that was really good quality & that would do justice to the headphones im using which are the AKG K702's.

I can put up a few words about what its like & possibly a few pics later on if anyone is interested, but needless to say ive been extremely impressed with all aspects of this amp on the AKG 702's, I adore the sound of the AKG's.

... could well be tempted to pull the trigger on one of these next month. The headphone output on the Caiman is pretty darn impressive considering the cost of the unit but these DT880s could benefit from a few more drops of juice.
