Hi guys just to remind you all that we will be at the Bracknell Audio Fayre next Sunday - April 17th. As well as showing our brand new Apollon Audio valve amplifier I will also be taking a load of stuff that I have had stashed in my store room eg:
Nice Pair Spendor BC1A's - all working
Garrard Zero100B
Lenco GL75
Marantz Direct Drive turntable
Huge Harman Kardon A/V amplifier
Monitor Audio R300MD - Boxed
We will also be doing a show special on our Sterling Black Mamba cables at £55.00 per pair (limited to the first 15 pairs)
I will also be taking a lot of the stuff that is listed on our web site and a big box full of speaker drivers, I will probably be taking a couple of big boxes of manuals and old mags as well.
It should be well worth a visit, I understand there are a lot of other traders booked in, it was a good do last year.
Hope to meet some of you there,
Dave.
Thanks, Dave. I didn't know about this but shall most likely pop in as Bracknell is not far from me. I take it there will be vinyl on sale? I'll come and say hello.
How much for the Zero 100? I take it that it's the belt driven one if a "B" or "SB?"

MartinT Stamford Audio will be there with a huge pile of quality vinyl, I'm not taking any myself as I only have 2 tables and they are going to be quite well stacked.
The Zero 100B is indeed belt drive. I have not got to test it yet, I will either sell it as a project or as working, either way it's not going to be dear.
We cleared a Hifi business last week so have a mountain of stuff to go through, I don't have time to do it all so there will be a fair few DIY bargains going.
Dave.
I wish you could do an inventory of sorts and give "us" first dibs... Any chance?
How old was the business? Original Shure M75 styli/part worn M75 EJ & ED are on my list (I gave away my last good ED and broke the remaining one :(), Garrard Lab 80 idler and headshell PLEASE someone????? Garrard SL95B (rather than a Zero 100SB ideally)..

DSJR, the Zero100 has a shure cart and ok stylus on it, I am pretty sure I have some new old stock Shure stylii - I have over 500 to go through so it may take a while. That's the only thing on your list that I have.
The Zero 100 is actually an SB, it's in very good nick but it does not start automatically. It auto stops and runs ok, it has no lid, although I may find one in the massive pile of stuff I can't get to at the moment.
If you wanted it as is and can pick it up it's yours for 40 quid with the cartridge.
How's that sound?
Interesting, but it's the new-old-stock Shure styli that are the most needy for me right now. The Zero 100SB came in the UK with an M93E, which is a 75-EJ style stylus but with the "taller" moulding. I have one of these styli coming from the US, but I'd really like an original M75-ED stylus if possible, one with the thinner cantilever (I'm not fussy am I?).
To anyone interested, practically all old auto Garrard decks suffer from what I affectionately call "Garrard Glue." The lubricating grease hardens up over the decades and seizes the mech parts, preventing them from working properly. A full strip down is often the only cure.
Dave, thanks for your replies. I know you give good service (you have supplied me in the past) and I'll be in touch. In the meantime, please see if you have a stylus as described above :)

I will see what I can do. I bought a Luton bodied transit absolutely full of stuff last week so I am a bit overloaded at the moment. I will see if I can get my Mrs to have a look through, can't make any promises but will do my best.
Dave.
Many thanks Dave, you're a star :) If there are any Goldring D110 original styli out there, I can think of one Welsh Glaswegian of Italian extraction who'd HAPPILY take them from you :)

I shall be there, helping out my mate Tony. We are both hoping that we don't come away with more stuff than we're taking!
Dave (DSJR) - my rebodied (? by Slate Audio) Shure cartridge is looking for a new home, if you are interested (see the thread that I started some time ago at http://theartofsound.net/forum/showthread.php?t=9009&highlight=mystery+shure+cartridge )

Thanks for alerting me to this event. I have booked a stall at short notice. I will be selling vinyl and also my Tandberg 10XD reel to reel, which would make a good landmark to spot me by!
I'd love to meet any other AOS members "in the flesh"

I am not putting prices on stuff here, I am going on holiday on Monday, I won't have time to post stuff. It's all at giveaway prices, anything that does not sell will get listed when I get back. If you want a bargain, come along and have a haggle.
Dave.
It was nice to meet you today, Dave. I didn't come looking for any hardware but almost wished I had as I could have assembled a sweet little system for peanuts by selecting wisely. Picked up a few LPs so went home happy.
