The time has finally come for these to move on ..... I've had them getting on for a year now (a long time for me! ) ..... but the desire to fund new toys means I need to top up my hifi budget and with a certain Esoteric amp/DAC on its way to me, something has to go!
So, here we have two valve power monoblocks which operate on the Output TransformerLess (OTL) principle. 40WPC into an 8 ohm load, less with lower impedance loads, more with higher loads. Plenty of power to drive most sensible speakers! I used them with wonderful results with Quad 57 stats. The only speaker they had trouble with was my old Thiel CS2.3 - a notoriously tricky load that dips to 2 ohms in the upper bass. Just avoid anything with impedance below 4 ohms and you'll be fine. (All OTLs are like this - partner with an easy load and you will likely be astonished at the openness, detail and transparency on offer - they can also rock like good'uns!)
I bought them on eBay for £680. When I got them they suffered a bit from hum - so they went back and were re-furbed by Champ Electronics in Nottingham (http://www.chambonino.com/) who checked them out and pretty much re-built the power supplies. They now work A1, and have been without problems ever since.
Made by the "Musician" firm in Hong Kong - a small specialist family firm. The photo might not do them justice - they are luvvly!
Look at them .... stunning! :smoking:

£650 plus delivery cost (probably about £40 insured), or I'd be happy to bring them around to yours if you're not too far, or you can come collect (Glos GL17), or we may be able to meet up.
Swappsies or p/ex also considered!
Money back if not happy within a week of receipt of the amps.
