Quite often people ask me how to tell if their remote is working as if a device stops responding to remote it could be the remote itself or the receiver in the device in question.
The answer is very simple - use the camera in your mobile phone. Switch to camera, point the remote at the lens, press any button on the remote and you should see a bright blue light in your phone's display.
Voila, your remote is now tested.

Not a lot of cop for an ultra sonic one though is it ;)
A ratchet drive held by the socket and spun works well though :eek:

Yes i can confirm that works :scratch: Just tried it with a Fuji camera :)

Just ignore Mr. Grumpy ;) - top tip for an INFRA RED remote. :)
