And I don't even deal with them anymore! Nevertheless I'm happy to give 'em a plug (no pun intended) Credit where credit is due. Grapevine says they no longer have a UK distributor - but I can't confirm this. Meanwhile > http://bit.ly/hTfckZ
Just one question, old chap... What's a "supoplier"?
;)

I thought that Signature Systems were the UK distributors; certainly they have an advert in the latest issue of HFN with a trade-in offer for Power Plant Premier owners against the new PS Audio mains devices.

Yes, I thought that too. However the PS Audio forum indicates (to me) otherwise. Personally, I've no idea either way.

Interesting. Had I been able to edit the heading (I don't think this is possible, or is it?) I'd have done so. Otherwise put it down to this 'old dog' confronting a 'new trick' which he knew orginally but .... err ...... forgot. I think that trick was called 'spelling'. Meanwhile, "Are we there yet dear?".

Its funny that he mentions Karlheinz Brandenburg, I went to the same university as himself, Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, and the university which is credited (might be too strong a word, but it is where it happened) with MP3 and a couple of other digital marvels.

I stand corrected - Signature Systems are PS Audio dealers, not the distributor.

Fine if you want a boat or an "integrated AV system". Not much help for the audiophile.
I think the newsletter is absolutely right, mp3s will shortly be a redundant format for most purposes...
I used to keep an mp3 version of my FLAC library for mobile purposes, but since acquiring a FLAC player for my android phone (powerAmp @ £3), and a 32Gb card there's no longer any need, and after listening to gapless FLAC on it I can't go back to mp3, even VBR. :)

Or for retailers like me. I won't be reapplying for the agency. Still a fine newsletter on their part though.
