Living in france now for the past 15 years but mostly in the UK when I was a kid and student.

I started off by not listening to advice and bought a Technics belt drive, a NAD 3020 and Mordaunt Short Carnivals - sounded good to me, and might have been better if I had bought the Connisieur I was advised.

Normal upgrading followed and my analogue pinnacle was LP12/Ittok/Asak - MF The Preamp - Radford MA25s (replaced Naims) and Quad ESL57s.

Lots of changes followed and I started making my own stuff, except for the 301 and TD124.

Kind of made an about turn and now front end is a dedicated and silent PC which also serves as the crossover (room correction to follow), a Fostex VC12 (made a working and good sounding DAC, but now I need four channels so I'm working on another), 4 x Class T (whilst the Rowland copies are being finished) and SMGa.

And that's where I'm at.

If you're PC fronted and especially XP/Foobar I'd love to hear from you.

Salut Vern :)

It’s interesting to see someone else who was at one point heavily into vinyl replay now on the same bumpy computer server road as me. Looks like you got the server bit sorted before me so I would be interested in hearing/seeing a bit about that.

Welcome to AoS Vernon, I suspect the forum can learn a lot from you and vice versa, so I do hope you get "stuck in" and find us to be a friendly and fun bunch to boot.

Some idea of your music tastes always helps to get us to know you, and pictures too, if you can manage it sometime.

Enjoy!
