I'm a long term audiophile. The only think that's original in my system are my dipole Infinity Ref 4.5's which are heavily modded.Bought in 1980. Everthing elso has been changed out 4-5 times, Using 2 BEL amps bi-amped. Sonic Euphoria passive preamp. Presently heavily into doing a Music Server with a 2010 Mac Mini Server with Pure Music and soon to be installed Drobo. I have a new Bereseford Caiman with Gator boad. Also have installed regulated power supply.
Getting great sound listen mostly Classical, R&R, and some Jazz.
I also belong to the Chicago Audio Society-great group of people. Also am a long time devotee of the Lake Forest Symphony.

Welcome, Jeff. There were some Infinity speakers in the eighties that I liked very much, yours are rather venerable now - are they in good shape?

Your devotion to your local orchestra reminds me that I keep meaning to do the same with mine, but I've yet to hear them in concert. I generally tend to go into London to listen to classical concerts - although I'm going to Romeo & Juliet tonight performed locally by The Russian State Ballet & Orchestra of Siberia. Is Chicago far from you?
