Hi Paul, welcome to AoS, glad you found us, and hope you are enjoying it so far.

I'm going to go out on a limb here, and guess that some of your system is Arcam? Don't ask me why, just a hunch! ;) Let us know what your system is, and if you can manage it sometime, some photos in the Gallery would be most appreciated.

Tell us a bit more about your music tastes - a few of your favourites?

Have fun!

Thanks for the warm welcome chaps .I do apologize for the lack of info about my system and tastes so here goes.My latest venture back to Hi-Fi started with a present for my birthday in Feb this year which consisted of a pair of Monitor Audio BX2s and Atacama Nexus 6i stands. These were a revalation to my old lugholes after listening to computer audio through some Creative yogart cartons.
The speakers started the ball rolling in the quest for better sounds so I purchased a Arcam A28 amp to partner them,I then realised that after about 6 years of my CD collection being boxed up in the loft it was time to buy a disc spinner, enter a ex display CA 740c that I got for a good price. That was good for about 2 weeks until I won a Arcam DV79 for a song. The Arcam then took prime position in my also newly aquired rack whilst the 740c was relagated to DAC mode for my PC.This configoration lasted all of 2 days as I had been bitten by the bug and won a Arcam CD73T that was advertized as not working. It cost me a cotten bud and ten minuites of my time to fix. This was a much better sounding CD player than the DV79 so things got swapped around again,so now my current system comprises of the above components + I treated myself to a Project Genie 3.I also found my old Sony STSE 500 tuner and MDS-JE520 minidisc lurking in the loft. This system is very modest compared to others but for all my efforts I am very pleased with the outcome. My tastes in music vary from Ah-Ha to ZZ Top (well not exactly) but I like music for what it is.
I do hope I hav'nt bored you all to sleep with my post so I will say good night to all and as soon as I get a chance I will get some pictures up for you.
Paul

Welcome to AoS Paul.

Ah - Ha to ZZ Top? Nice one! My musical tastes extend from Laurie Anderson to ZZ Top, so as you can imagine, I'm delighted to welcome a new member with a broad taste in music.

Enjoy the forum,

Regards
