If any of you are using a CDP into a Beresford Mk. 3 and it still sounds a bit turgid in comparison with your HD source (or even vinyl for that matter), I would suggest you suss out the mods that Stanley has for his earlier DAC. They consist of cutting a couple or three tracks on the circuit board and soldering in new links and the difference is really special. More, tighter bass and much more open sound and darker silences are now forthcoming from my mate´s Sugden Cd21/A21a set-up and it is much closer than before to my MacBook/HD /Mk.6.3. set-up. Well worth it.
