Nick G's OTL headphone amp design

It sounds absolutely superb, and one of the finest headphone amplifiers I've ever had the pleasure to listen to! I intend to have one built myself and put into a smaller case :)

You'd need to speak to Nick, mate, but a ballpark figure would be around £600 :)

Course it is, Nick designed it! He doesn't let anything less than as good as he can make it, given the cost, out of the door.

Thanks Marco for posting the link. Its not as complex a build as it may look, its just an unusual shape for those of us used to normal PP and single ended amps. Other than the mains TX its all off the shelf stuff and as long as the setup instructions are followed its simple enough. And once its setup it seems nicely stable in use. The 6080's are only dissipating 5W a triode, so they should last for ages. 6AS7 should also work just fine.
