I've noticed there are a few Rory Gallagher fans on the forum, but I have not seen a mention for Larry Miller?

Larry is a blues rock guitarist who was heavily influenced by Rory after seeing him in concert as a teenager. His style is very much Rory and one of the best blues rock guitarists on the UK circuit - he can hold his own with the best of them, Joe Bonamassa included. But his live shows are something else, he puts so much into the performance. Touring at the moment, in fact he always seems to be touring and how he's not better known is a mystery to many blues guitarists. He's worth seeing live if you are a Gallagher fan. There are lots of YouTube videos which are worth exploring if blues guitar is your thing?

He's a really great bloke too, always happy to chat to the fans after the show and likes a bit of banter with the audience :)

Another one worth mentioning is Pat Travis really good Blues rock player and Matt Schofield has a bit more of a jazzy side

Not seen Larry Miller live yet but hope to do so soon. I have watched plenty of his clips on You Tube and I'm not sure I'd put him in the same class as Bonamassa but like I say I've not seen LM in the flesh and so may be surprised. As John says there are plenty of good players out there all with there own take on the blues. Would second the Matt Schofield recommendation, Scott Mckeon is also one worth ckecking out.

I was going to say Pat Travers! (I'm guessing that's who you mean, John) - Well worth checking out his LP 'Makin Magic' in particular, strong tunes and great production with properly mixed bass guitar.

First live rock act I ever saw - be around the time of "Puttin' It Straight".
That was with Peter "Mars" Cowling on bass, and Nicko McBrain (currently with Iron Maiden) on drums.
They were excellent.:)

That's a bit of a coincidence - I was playing (loudly) Rory Gallagher's 'Edged in Blue' this afternoon.

The first 1' 10" of the title track never go on for long enough for me. I think it's one of the best things he recorded.

Haven't played that in absolutely years ,,,,,,,, took me right back and a great way to start the day .. :) ....
