I need a new/used Denon DL 103 as I stupidly broke the cantilever off my one this morning:doh:

Now I have calmed down & stopped swearing:steam: I realise there is no viable alternative so I will have to just bite the bullet and find another one.

So does anybody have anything suitable (must be MC no MM)

All been there mate easaliy done i did mine on a less expensive Rega bias 2 :steam: if only there wasnt dust we could all sleep easy good luck finding another one.

TT's great TP16 works well with Denon DL 103 well it did till I broke the bloody bit off!!:doh:

Are you interested in selling the broken unit?

I only ask as I plan to make some wooden bodies and it would be useful to use as a guide.

I have an Ortofon MC10 Super.It's one I've used,but not massively, with my previous amp.My new amp only has MM input so I ended up buying a Denon 160,high output.It's boxed with all the bits it came with originally.Let me know if you're interested.

By the way really enjoyed your system at Scalford the other day. Your speakers were in my opinon some of the best sounding of the show, even if the cones did look like they were crying!

Sorry for delay in getting back to you.
I was about to sign on when the gremlins struck! All is working now so I will answer your questions.
My deck is a Thorens TD160 Super fitted with an SME3009 series 2 improved,removable headshell.To be perfectly honest I can't really tell any great difference between the 160 and the MC10.Since my cartridge change was only brought about by my amp change and at the same time I was making a number of changes to my Tannoys I was not able to do any quick change comparisons.All I will say is that I am more than pleased with the overall result.If I had to split hairs (but I'm not sure what this is down to) I think that maybe the background groove noise is marginally higher on the 160.I don't own many vinyl LPs, about 3 dozen in all and since I listen much more to CDs I think that they have tended to spoil me in relation to vinyl noise in general.

Very sorry I could not get back to you sooner regarding my MC10 Super.A few gremlins at this end .I'm pleased to see from other posts that you are now sorted.
