Are pressure cookers really banned in the U.K.

I can't even think of cooking lentals or dals with out it.
I was told they banned or where trying to ban them in the U.K. because terrorists use them to make road side bombs.
If this is true,very very sad.

Nope, someone is having you on there, pressure cookers are fine here...... and to my knowledge we don't get a lot of road side bombs in the UK :(

:D That takes me back to my younger days when one day the pressure cooker did actually kind of explode :eyebrows: I guess the lid wasn't on properly thinking about it, there was a huge dent in the ceiling along with vegetables all over the kitchen floor, walls & ceiling :lolsign:

My gran's next next door neighbor's pressure cooker exploded while she was cooking beetroot. If you've seen the episode of Mr Bean where he paints his apartment with a can of paint and a firework then it looked like that but bright purple. :lol: They had to buy an entire new kitchen. :eek:
