Selling a beautifully put together pair of CineMag CMQEE-34440A step-up transformers, professionally cased and with two step-up ratios input impedances:

- 1:18 / 37.5ohm for standard 3-12ohm cartridge (Koetsus, Lyras, Audio Technica, Ortofons, Shelters and most others)
- 1:36 / 150ohm for 40 ohm output impedance cartridge (eg Denon 103, some Dynavectors).

Selling as it's too high gain for my new Art Audio Vinyl One which has 50db gain rather than the 40db of gain most commonly found in mainstream moving magnet phono stages.

See the following reviews of this pair of cartridges:

10 Audio: http://www.10audio.com/bob%27s_devices_step_up.htm
Stereophile: http://www.stereophile.com/artdudleylistening/listening_90/index.html

In short, low noise, engaging musicality, great resolution, rich midrange and solid bass.

Looking for £210 including special delivery or £200 brought to Scalford this weekend.

Why don't you re-configure it to 1:9? Very easy to do.

Best of luck with them. I have a pair and highly recommend them.

Not easy for me, I bought the thing made up and wouldn't have a clue how to reconfigure. I had assumed there was only one way to wire it which is using these two settings.

Do you know is there a schema around which would show how to wire 1:9?

Yes I have schematics etc....you can, as I have mine at the moment have a switch between 1: & 1:18. Very useful as the Shelter & Denons prefer one and the Benz At etc prefer another.

I'll start another thread if you like as it probably isn't appropriate in the sales corner!
