Just bought a Philips CD630 from my local charity shop…………….£2.
I know this has a TD1541a chip in it and I wondered if anyone had ripped the Dac section out and rebuilt it as a stand alone Dac?
The Unit itself is quite badly damaged but all bar the transport mechanism seems fine.
The unit as a whole works but the CD skips badly
Quite surprised to see how well the internals are constructed. Just had the unit open to have a look around.
