Hallo all. I'm pretty much happy with my hardware/cables/mains conditioning (Orbe tt/EMM cd/Hovland amps/Zu Definitions speakers), and am turning my attention to last area of system optimisation, namely equipment stands/speaker supports. Currently using Audiophile Base and am pretty happy, but tempted by the Townshend (total price in my system c. £3500 to include 6 tier stand/single shelf/pair of Stella speaker supports). The other system I'm considering is Symposium from USA (£6000-£7000).
Does anyone have any experience of either, and more so how to judge improvements since what is needed is a system-wide holistic improvement, very different from judging the upgrade of one component at a time?
I am sold on Townshend technology, but despite their claims to the contrary, I am skeptical that ringing in glass shelves can be eliminated (never got on with glass).
