The is a Hewitt built amp from a PCB Kit.
http://delighteddelight.tripod.com/pcb/marantz7B.htm

Uses Hammond Transformers with a receipt for those at £150. Just needs the leather top edges re-gluing.

Marantz 7B Clone 40W EL84 Push-Pull. Very musical sounding amp as Ian Walker can vouch for.

£320 offers, This is a good price considering what you would pay for an original 7B or a decent P-P with proper transformers.

Pm : ourdogmax

or me but I am not always about to answer immediately.

David and "ourdogmax" - may i say how nice it is to see you both helping out in these sad circumstances for Dave's widow. I never knew Dave but it is a testament to him that he has good friends/colleagues around who are helping out in this way.

If I liived closer I would have has the Goodmans speakers.

Well done to both of you

Thank's for the kind comments Neil, It really is appreciated.
This is a mammoth task as David has a lot of gear to get through.

This is the amp fondly known as MR SKIRTING BOARD :).

Ive had MR S here for months at a time and can tell you its very very good.

I tried to twist Daves arm into selling me this a few times but he never would, the bugger:).

This is my favourite amp next to Mr PLANK which ive put my name on!.

Buy with confidence.

Ian.

Seriously thinking about going for this amp and was wondering if anyone local in the NW would be able to pick it up and take it there ... I'll be there on the Sunday.

Did this sell? I'm on the lookout for either a DIY highend killer or perhaps classic Leak.
Cheers,
