This is a Hewitt modified Mr Liang. Originally it used 845 tubes but has been altered to run on GM70 power tubes which sounded better according to Dave.

They are also more powerful. 845's are 20W and GM70 are typically 40W.
The extra transformer fitted at the back is to power the GM70 heaters,

£550 ono

I sold my own Liang 845 for this price and this is much better. Has the sweet sound of a single ended with the punch of a good push-pull.
I think this is a bargain esp when you price up something like a Croft or Copper Amp.

Includes the DIY Liang shover !!
Includes the Cage and a brand new spare top plate since the one already fitted has a few marks at the back where the cage has marked it.

It is very heavy so post is not an option.

or me but I am not always about to answer immediately.

Someone has expressed an interest on the WAD forum.

Pity about the lack of postage or i'd go for it myself ;) Single ended class A is where it's at & i'd be interested in a single ended valve amplifier :)

You aren't by chance going to Scalford next weekend are you?
