I'd say the most representative here would be Tannoy Dual Concentrics or some form of panel/electrostatic. That's where everyone eventually seems to end up when they've had enough swapping. Or in some cases they just went straight there in about 1973 and never saw (or heard) the need to change.
    Current Lash Up:

    TEAC VRDS 701T > Sony TAE1000ESD > Krell KSA50S > JM Labs Focal Electra 926.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

That would be my view, but there also plenty of folks, like you, who use floorstanders of some description.

At the moment but I'm buying some Tannoys as a final speaker. I've tried to find better for the money and I have failed.

I didn't think your Telefunkens were single drivers.... Well, they don't sound overtly coloured to me (bearing in mind that ALL speakers are coloured to some degree) - they sounded very good.

Twin drivers, but in series so still no x-over. Keeps the speed of the 10" paper driver but ups the anti with the 2. They sound better now I fixed the couple of issues when you were here last so a bit improved.
