Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as is what makes a good film. Its an ok film, unfortunately the effects are everything, story, plot and quality acting sacrificed. And, real people can't do what these people can, in real life they would all be dead.

It's an action adventure film about an earthquake and it stars Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. Therefore, I think it's safe to say that no one would go and see it looking for in-depth characterisation, meaningful plot subtleties and answers to life's deeper questions!

I watched it on a flight to the USA and I quite enjoyed it in a "leave your brain in neutral, sit back and enjoy" kind of way.

The only disaster movie I've seen that had some intelligence about it, was 'Deep Impact' and even that had some fanciful stuff in it. Good film though.
