Well it won't sound anything like an R50 Bloom or Eroica, but it will bear a passing resemblance to an R100 H 02.

It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
It's a completely different type of sound so far. No harshness though. A bit less bass but I know that's down to the setup. I can't judge anything yet as I haven't even done alignment. I just wanted to see if it's working lol.

I need to make a public apology to Jimbo,
He recently loaned me his Decca Blue and because I couldn't get it to sound right I declared the cartridge a knacker.
I was wrong.
I was experiencing some issues with the Gold and something clicked in my tired brain and I realised I'd left the phonostage loaded at 100ohms. I set the Jolida to the standard for MM and voila, the Gold sings. I fitted the Blue. It sang too.
JIM, I am sorry. But now I get to do a side by side Blue v Gold !!!!!

Haha, no problem and I am glad it still lives!
Your a lucky man having both a gold and blue to try back to back.
Look forward to your opinions.
