Put them in front of a jury. The police could have shot them in the leg which they normally do - the area was clear so even if the fake suicide belt was real the worst it could have done was kill the twisted fuckers - which the police kindly did.

I think there's a shoot to kill policy but why?

not that it has anything to do with it but i cant help but think of the scene in the omen when the vicar quotes this...When the Jews return to Zion and a comet fills the sky, and the Holy Roman Empire rises; then you and I must die. From the eternal sea he rises, creating armies on either shore, turning man against his brother, 'til man exists no more."

so with that in mind im not going any where near a church with a big spike on top of it,particularly the one near putney bridge!!

Would you go up to somebody wearing what looks like a bomb and try to handcuff them?

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

There must be a way of doing it, in both shoulders maybe.

In the Pacific campaign in WW2 it became common practice to shoot wounded or surrendering Japanese troops because many would conceal a grenade which they would only detonate when they were approached.

As for asking them why they do it you might as well ask a Nazi why they killed a million Jews

I'd prefer that they just shoot them dead, I don't want my money wasted on their trials and incarceration. Nothing to be gained there.

Why bother? Then you'd spend millions keeping a disabled prisoner serving life.

Because they want to die so a better punishment is to disable them if possible and make them serve life in a solitary cell. This denies them their wishes.

I agree. Deny then their wish and find out who's behind this - what preachers, what sides etc.

And you think incarcerating them and being civil to them will accomplish this?
    Dream on ......
