They must only cost £10 to make if they are selling them for £33.

I'm most envious - I wish my TT had a "turntable up-down pole"!

Some might describe that as 'a piece of shite'. I wouldn't, I'd think that was being too kind!

Did one of you guys win these Tannoy Cheviots which I think was mentioned in this thread before?

Went for £740. Needs repair but once fixed will be awesome.

Not me I'm afraid. I was watching - as I did with the Eatons (at the weekend) but both pairs went beyond my budget, even before bidding ended

I actually prefer the Eatons to the HPD Cheviots. I've owned both at the same time and compared them. But there again, I like my 3128 Cheviot Mk.II's even more!

Cost me £500 those did. Mind you, I spent about £80 refurbishing them. That was about five years ago.

Happy to pop over now and give you £600 for them.

    I can dream can't I?

    Most generous mate.

I've also got some Tannoy Ascots I bought a couple of years ago. Those are waiting for some SRM 10B cones to be fitted and custom cabinets built, possibly transmission lines. All work done by me of course.

I should have bid on the DC1000 that the chap re-advertised: - it was getting to North/West Wales easily that held me back.

The original bidder won them at £50 (presuming that guy checked his map too late and wished he hadn't) and the second attempt the seller got over £60 for them.
I understand they are reasonably well regarded and for that money, quite a steal, if not up there with the likes of the Cheviots/Eatons.
