    Default Midlands area phonostage bakeoff

    Hi all,

There is an attempt being made by John G over on AudioTalk to try and put a phonostage bakeoff together. This one is a friendly affair, designed to just get together and share our experiences and opinions of what we hear. It's not a competition. If you are interested in throwing a piece of kit into the mix, here's the link

    http://www.audio-talk.co.uk/phpBB3/v...=6961&start=30

It's hoped to be held at Houghton Village Hall and looks like there will be some facilities and refreshments available.

I've offered to take the Jolida JD9 or I'll send it if I'm working. Join in if you can. They are excellent for expanding your knowledge and experience. You may even hear your next upgrade there!

    Oliver.

That's a shame, would have been good. Could have tried your Lyra Delos too!

Hi Oliver, is the gathering for vinyl fans only?
Would like to attend one someday but feel there won't be much I can contribute if its mostly vinyl.

It's a phonostage bakeoff, Taz, so yes, entirely vinyl. That shouldn't put you off though, if there's space, you are welcome to attend anyway.

Why not make some inquiries on here and for a possible venue and organise one yourself Sandro?

yes that is exactly what I like to do depending on things and how many came up (already did no?)

One place I know off as a venue (decent food and hope not so upset neighbours )

But if many came up I can ask my local Hi Fi shop to help they do similar thing often
