    They're not often the best of places to get a definitive impression of how a loudspeaker performs.
    From what I've heard to date (and I've been to a fair few meets), open baffle type speakers tend to fare rather better than their boxed ones in such environments.
    The need for louder than normal levels at meets doesn't do anyone any favours either.
