Very nice Don. Those AN speakers are going to be a treat with that lot. Do let us know how they work out once you have them (and post a picture) .
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

I have stolen my daughter's Epos M12 speakers at the moment. I am waiting for some AN-E SPE HE speakers to finish being built and be shipped to me. Probably 6-8 weeks away from ownership. I have attached a photo of them in my family room.

Thanks. I certainly will. I feel like the system is a shadow of what it can do at the moment. Although the Epos are good for the money, they can't hold a candle to my previous speakers, the Proac D40R. No surprise of course, given the huge difference in price, but still.....

I had an audiophile buddy over for dinner and some record playing. Here is another view of the system from that evening.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

He's somewhat larger and curled up at my feet at the moment.

Funny story... I had sold my Audio Desk Systeme that I had bought with my mad money from a job on the side (teaching at my airline), in order to pay for the Meishu Silver. While I was thinking that I should buy a cheaper record cleaning machine like the Okki Nokki, I was on the road, sitting in a cafe in London, enjoying a cappuccino. I thought, heck I will check the audio auctions back in North America and see if any had come up for sale. I didn't see any, but I did see a fellow selling his Loricraft and thought, 'what the heck, I will throw in a bid to raise the bidding on the auction for this guy'. I thought for sure that it would sell for twice what I paid for it. I ended up getting a like new PRC-4 for one third of the new price (in Canada)! The only downside is that he didn't include the brush or cleaning fluid. It was hard to complain, considering what I had paid : )

Of course, this put a serious dent in my speaker savings account!

Yes he is. Well, sort of. He (Finnigan) is a mix. He is also a rescue, so we don't really know what he is, except that he weighs about twice what a Yorkie usually weighs.

    He is quite a character!
