Receipts from cash machines, what are they all about? The most pointless and wasteful feature ever. You can see your balance so why do you need a bit of paper with it on as well? If you're that forgetful write it down. And then they leave it lying on the machine or chuck it on the ground anyway.

I keep them so I can check them off against my statement, just as I do with all receipts for items paid for using my bank card.

I can't believe anyone would bother. And how can you get by without using a cash machine? I used to cash checks in the bank but even I gave that up in the end and got a card.

how can you get by without using a cash machine?

Don't use much cash and these days, if I occasionally want any, I pop into the post office and draw what I need from my bank account with my debit card. Only takes a jiffy!
