Following up on the discussion on room dimensions and bass wavelength. I've been researching this. There are various views but the main one seems to be that you need a room dimension 1/4 the frequency wavelength for "good" bass response, this can of course be a diagonal. So you get down to 14Hz with a diagonal of just 20ft (pretty easy).

Re headphones, it seems that what low frequencies can be heard are not regarded as "good" though I'm sure head-fi guys will disagree. For sure it's different as via headphones such frequencies are only sensed by the ears, not the whole body.

But it is keeping his amplifier name at the top of the threads list.

I was hoping the thread above might do that!

We now have every colour option in stock as opposed to just the Silver/Black two tone version.

I'm sure at least one member of this forum has purchased the integrated amp version of the very same, maybe a couple. I think Effem has & i know at least one other has as he sold me his Beresford Caiman (which i sold on at the same price) as he no longer needed it, the integrated has a built in DAC

I can't remember who i bought the DAC off of though

They are both very happy apparently

We have plenty of happy customers, if you're not sure whether its for you either try one on 2 week demo or buy one with a 30 day money back guarantee.

I have the integrated and it is a real doooozy

I took it round to a friend's house a few days ago and it certainly made him VERY disgruntled with the 5 figure amp he has now. Had to lever his fingers off it when it was time to go home. Offered money, offered his kidney, offered his conjugal rights for the next 6 months, so I told him to stop crying, get a grip and go buy an XTZ Desire forthwith at the ludicrously cheap price being asked for it

Incidentally, I did split the pre and power sections of the XTZ out of curiosity to connect a pre amp and the power amp section is a cracker.
