Someone shook it, opened it in several places with a pointed opener, one can imagine what happened!

    Exactly,

even without shaking it it was impossible to pour without spilling or creating a giant head on the beer. Probably just as well as it was fizzy swill!

Default 10 things that don't happen now, but were once good...

    1) Women who knew how to cook, because they'd been brought up in an established food culture by their parents and grandparents.

    2) Women who dressed like women, and behaved femininely (before 'ladettes' existed).

    3) Shops that weren't open 24/7, 365 because the folk who owned/managed them had a life.

    4) Shoppers who had a life themselves, and so didn't automatically expect shops to be open 24/7, 365.

    5) When cars didn't all look the same.

    6) When people were less stressed and had more time to themselves.

    7) When people were happier with simpler lives and less material possessions.

    8) When technology didn't fundamentally control how people lived.

    9) When summers had extended periods of sunshine and warmth.

    10) When kids left school knowing how to count and spell proficiently, and understood the meaning of civility and good manners - and most importantly then instilled those values in their children.

Dunno about a list, but my daughter can cook. Mind you, she's a professional caterer . There again, the grand kids prefer my cooking .
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”
