Not really one for male bonding. It was nice though to meet everyone. And pleased the Technics SL-P1200 seemed to so well liked. Bit surprised it still worked after the 3 mile jarring by foot it got. It did sound rather good, though.
Just wanted to mention that the Roy Orbison "Black And White Night" has at least 8 issues. At least 4 of them have different running orders and mix/sound quality. A new CD/DVD, CD/Bluray came out this year for the 30th Anniversary. Bit of a disappointment as the audience participation has been turned right down . Roy's vocals seem to have been given priority. One of his sons did the remixing. I don't know how the DVD/Bluray might sound. The version heard last night was from 1998. Has no writing at the bottom of the cover:
Sounds much more dynamic. The EAN number ends 89129. The original, with the green sleeve notes on Virgin, sounds nearly as good. The issue from 1999:
Has the best feel of the live event, but the guitars of Springsteen and Burnett are woefully muted.
Still think the VHS has the best sound. When I used to post here, now and again I used to bang on about it. Not that anyone took any notice.
Looking forward to next year's. Sadly, without the Technics.

Yes Steve, I did the same thing myself. I forgot to mention Mike (Jac Hawk) who's upgraded Rega Planer 3 sounded rather nice. I have posted some pictures on the Nebo FB page as Photobucket is being a pain in the arse. And of course Mik Rik with whom I collaborated. His Yaqin pre amp always a star as is his wonderful Radford which turned out to be a storm on a tea cup.

Cheers mate. I've always enjoyed NEBO. It was just one of those things this time, not helped by the fact that the previous weekend I'd driven up to Glasgow and back (nearly 600 miles in total), visiting a friend, so another long drive this weekend was just a bit too much
Marco.

Hi everyone ,I left and missed packing those 3 isolation feet we used early on for the rega t/t .Hoping somebody packed them away.Phoned the venue just now and they can't find them and will have to wait until some with keys to the safe arrives to check inside.Hoping they turn up as it will mar an otherwise "grand day out" Mick
A work in progress !
Yes, sorry I had to miss it but it couldn't be helped. Really wanted to hear Steve's Hecos and Ken's speaker project. Venue looks great, hopefully will be there for the next one. And thanks to Stephen for bringing the Technics along anyway, will get in touch to sort something out.
Current Lash Up:
TEAC VRDS 701T > Sony TAE1000ESD > Krell KSA50S > JM Labs Focal Electra 926.
has anyone had issues uploading photos to photobucket? i've been trying since yesterday and only got a handful uploaded
