    Pebble dash could look effective.

    being an ex cabinet maker thats exactly my thoughts too,its crying out to me to be veneered in something exotic!

    Personally I've yet to see a veneered block of this type that doesn't look naff and like something out of a tatty 30's cinema kiosk ... but each to their own

    Clearly it needs to be done well by someone that knows what they are doing. bad veneering is worse than none at all.
