So here we are again and first up this great blues album from one of the finest guitarists of the genre and certainly the greatest to hail from Texas. The opening track sets the scene on this 10th studio album and sadly the last as he was to die only two years later. Listening to this album clearly shows he was no sideman ! Great feeling and explosive riffs from his Fender Telecaster accompanied by fine vocals from the man himself and aided by some great blues muscians including Johnny B. Garden on Bass, Soko Richardson on Drums, Debbie Davies on Rythm Guitar and Eddie Harsch on Keyboards.

    Track Listing:

    1. "Mr. Collins, Mr. Collins" 5:11
    2. "Iceman" 5:04
    3. "Don't Mistake Kindness for Weakness" 6:12
    4. "Travellin' South" 3:06
5 ."Put the Shoe on the Other Foot" 5:30
    6. "I'm Beginning to Wonder" 4:12
    7."Head Rag" 3:54
    8. "The Hawk" 2:38
    9. "Blues for Gabe" 3:43
    10. "Mr. Collins, Mr. Collins (Reprise)

Next we go to one of my all time favourite rock bands and whether its the early 70's band created from the ashes of the Santana Abraxas band or the later hugely successful 80's incarnation, they epitomise American AOR. The most notable track from the album is of course "Don't Stop Believin" which in 2009 eighteen years after its release became the biggest selling tune on iTunes and also the biggest selling track not released in the 21st Century, with over 1 Billion Streams and 7 million downloads and named the biggest selling track of all time by Forbes ! The band has also sold over 100 million albums worldwide making them one of the worlds biggest selling bands of all time.

    Personnel:

    Steve Perry – lead vocals

Neal Schon – lead guitar, backing vocals

Jonathan Cain – keyboards, rhythm guitar, backing vocals

Ross Valory – bass, backing vocals

    Steve Smith - drums

    Track Listing:

    1 Don't Stop Believin'
    2 Stone in Love
    3 Who's Crying Now
    4 Keep On Runnin'
    5 Still They Ride
    6 Escape
    7 Lay It Down
    8 Dead Or Alive
    9 Mother, Father
    10 Open Arms

As usual we finish with vinyl and perhaps not the most well-known album from this legendary band, thier twelfth studio album. However, it does have one of my all time favourite tracks of thiers; so much so its my wife's ringtone on my phone and they say romance is dead ! No guessing her name and no its not Gypsy, lol.

    Track Listing:

    Side 1:

    1 Love in Store
    2 Can't Go Back
    3 That's Alright
    4 Book of Love
    5 Gypsy
    6 Only over

    Side 2:

    1 Empire State
    2 Straight Back
    3 Hold Me
    4 Oh Diane
    5 Eyes of the World
    6 Wish You Were Here
