Not much point opting out if I have read the "when your choice does not apply" section correctly - there seem to be numerous situations where they can use your data regardless.
In fact, it could be the case, that by opting out you are giving them more information about yourself/opinions

Wouldn't surprise me. The government are basically self-obsessed, self-serving, thieving bastards who think they can help themselves to anything they like as they think they own everything.

But, any chance to stand up against data theft and I'll take it!
