Default Repair shops in Bristol area

    Hi,

I have a malfunctioning NAD 521i CD player and need to get it looked at by a reliable repair person. If you have any recommendations for repair shops in the Bristol area, I'd be very grateful to hear about them. In terms of equipment I have the CD player, a pair of Celestion 3 speakers and an Arcam Alpha 7 amplifier. In terms of musical taste, I'll listen to most things...

    Thanks in advance!

The only one I know of is Electrofix on Alma Rd, Clifton. Nice guys, good work & reasonable prices BUT they are very busy so are not quick (6 weeks to repair my old NAD Cdp)

    Hello Damien. Welcome to AOS.

As this is the Welcome area, perhaps you'd like to tell us more about yourself, like what music you listen to and what future plans you may have for your system.

As for your CD player, it may be worth getting a quote for repairs before committing yourself. Some repairers may charge you just to look at it and any work could be expensive. For instance, a £200 bill to repair a player worth around £70 would not make economic sense.

    Enjoy the forum,
    Geoff.

There's a guy in weston super Mare, but I think that's mainly 'classic' stuff.

Forgot so say that Electrofix charge £30 to diagnose the fault, that's non refundable if you don't go ahead but deducted from the Final bill
