Hi guys,
Quick question,
Could two amps croft series 7r be used as 7r monoblocks?
If yes, how is it done?
Thank you in advance.

Hi George.
I’m assuming the two amps you have are both the 7R integrated amplifiers?
If so, then yes. Connect one to the left speaker only and connect the left output of your source to the corresponding input on the amp.
Repeat the same for the other amp but right side only.
On both select the input and then adjust the volume dials to match when listening - or leave them set at an appreciable level if your source component/s has/have variable output.
I’m not quite sure if there’ll be a massive advantage (or any at all) but it will work. Essentially it’ll give one amp per channel, but do check that the amplifier will be happy with the single channel load (as they’re not bridgeable) - the manual should give you that warning if not.

Thank you for your reply!
Actually they are not integrated. They ll be connected to a croft 25r pre.
They don't have anything on the front panel but the on-off switch...
And I don't think there will be a manual since they will be bought 2nd hand.
I don't know if they are bridgeable...
You don't get a manual with Croft even when they are new.
You might get more benefit by vertically bi-amping with them rather than just use one channel of each amp.
Current Lash Up:
TEAC VRDS 701T > Sony TAE1000ESD > Krell KSA50S > JM Labs Focal Electra 926.
Also, are your speakers biwireable?

Excellent.
So attach one of the amps (assuming power amps here) to one speaker; biwired from the speaker outputs.
Attach the other amp to the other speaker in the same way (utilising both channels, one to treble and one to bass).
If the pre amp doesn’t have dual power amp outputs, grab yourself some unbalanced Y splitters (one per channel). These will enable you to use run the single interconnect output from the pre amp into the dual input on the power amp.
Two of these should do you nicely...
