    Hi Darren,

As far as tonearm cables go at that price, personally, I reckon Johnny's would be as good as any, and you're giving yer dosh to one of the industry's nice guys

As for armboards, if you can afford it, I'd buy one of DC's (unless J7 can do you a deal on something). Trust me, they are *very* good and engineered to a superb standard - I wouldn't say so otherwise

I bought one from the greek seller on e bay for about £50. The guy had good feedback so i gave it a go. Works fine although others may be a better damped design.

I should really do a write-up on it.

It depends on how much Darren wants to spend.
Understood, Marco, but I was addressing the latter point.

Oh, and I agree that DC's arm boards are superb, I cannot fault my custom Dynavector board.

Yup, DC's arm boards are machined beautifully and very rigid (making for excellent mechanical integrity), although £90 is rather OTT. His prices appear to have gone up quite a bit since I bought mine.....

I'll second what Marco says about J7's Audio Origami arm cable - I have one as well as the Neglex, and J7's cable is way better sounding in every respect. That's with either Jelco SA-750D or the Ittok LVII, both of which share the same connector. The Neglex is a good cable, but pushing the budget by only £30 is worth it. That said, if the budget is limited, I could be open to offers on my Neglex cable

To be honest i don't feel comfortable spending more than £100 on any cables and even then they have to be the dog's danglies.Im sure the oyaide is a fantastic cable though.

Maybe at my next poker win i can go for it then as it will be money won and not earnt.

I'd agree the Greek guy is very good. I've got one of his for a Linn & a 750D. Friendly, quick service and seems to be a very good product. Well worth buying from him.
