    Betcha didn't know that!
I thought Branson had problems with the revenue as he avoided tax to reduce prices by re-importing records that were meant for export. Don't think he had a pressing plant producing bootlegs.

Default Great little Vinyl Store in Edinburgh - Voxbox

Just wished to share what I have found in Edinburgh with you. A great little records store by the name of VoxBox Records on St Stephen Street, Stockbridge, Edinburgh.

I was in at the weekend and picked up a Prince 7", Stranglers 7", Blonde 7", a Zappa Album, Carole King Album and a Van Morrison Album, all for what I think is a resonable price and not a mark on the vinyls!

Got chatting with George behind the counter and he mentioned a little event that had sadly just passed, bring you records to a pub night, you get 40mins of DJ time, a great idea and one I may attempt to get involved with next time.

Got to say it's really refreshing talking to people who love music and have a wide/varied taste.

Anyway, VoxBox Records is the name if you are interested http://voxboxmusic.co.uk/
I can whistle with my fingers, especially if I have a whistle.

I like the 'bring your records to the pub' idea... particularly if the pub/organisers were sorting out a nice system to play them on.

This could have some potential and the organisers could charge a nominal fee to cover the expense of dragging their gear around.
One of these days... I'm going to cut you into little pieces.

Yes, just got it. What a beast, eh?

However, preferably I like to use cartridges and SUTs from the same manufacturer: ones which have been designed as a partnership, from the ground up, as experience tells me that's how things tend to sound best.

I wonder what's inside the AT to make it so heavy, though? Must be some bad-ass trannies in there!!

Banquet records in Kingston are good; I can go in and have a chat with them, ask for things of a certain flavour and they provide the goods. They put on nights and seem really interested in what they do, so fair play to them!
