"DR Koncertsalen" will hopefully do justice to Wilsons Music: Designed by Jean Nouvel (and Acoustic design by Yasuhisa Toyota) has made this Concert Hall (designed as a studio) the most expensive in the world: 1.4 Mia. taxpayed Danish kroners = app. 142 mio £. It better sound good...

Impressive looking hall that. Also seeing SW next week but at Newcastle City Hall which unfortunately has the acoustics of a 70s public swimming pool. Better than nothing I guess though, would love to see him in Hall 1 at the Sage Gateshead, for me the best sounding venue in Britain.

One of these days... I'm going to cut you into little pieces.

    Hi Rick !

I hope SW at Newcastle City Hall will be great.

Thanks for the info on Sage Gateshead - it looks great with all the Wood.

I do occasionally travel to Concerts abroad (No-Man in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire 2012 is a special memory) and I would hate to travel to a concert just to have it spoiled because of bad acoustics.

If you come to Denmark then avoid concerts in "Parken" - the Acoustic feedback ruins everything.

Likewise Rob, I got tickets for Birmingham Symphony Hall for May - it's the last time he will play the beautiful Pet Sounds.
    I will shed a tear I know.

Linked to this I would highly recommend the recent Brian Wilson biopic movie Love & Mercy (John Cusack, Paul Dano) it's a good-one. Acting is great and the scenes in the studio recording Pet Sounds and Smile are excellent. I think it's out on DVD.

    Cheers

I've got a superb week of music in store for me !!

On Thursday night I'm on the guest list for Lee "Scratch" Perry and Mad Professor at The Brook, Southampton

Then, on Saturday night I'll be watching Parov Stelar doing their electro-swing thing in London

"I'm gon' put on a' iron shirt and chase Satan out of eart' "

THIS ONE ! This is the dub sound I love ..

The Professor remixed Massive Attack's Protection album in full ..

Electro-swing in full effect, Parov stylee ...

I'll be going full jazz, clothes-wise on Saturday night

Oh, and here's my own Parov Stelar mix :
