Well I don't mind admitting I cocked up here big time. I have priority booking for anything at the Southbank and dismissed this when I could have booked tickets in the pre-sale... nowt left now

I saw The Robert Cray Band at the Manchester Apollo a good few moons ago, and it was a bit like attending a lecture - the playing & singing was perfect, but therein lies the problem - there was no spontaneity in the performance, nor was there any interaction with the audience worth mentioning.

I hope that they've they've outgrown their shyness

I fear you may be right Chris. However as fan of the electric guitar, Robert Cray is somone I feel I should have seen but never have and as the gig was local and at a small venue I felt it was too good an oppurtunity to miss. At least I will be able to tick him off the list. The week after the Rober Cray gig I'm off to see Eric Johnson for the first time also.

The Joanne Shaw Taylor sounds good but midweek trips up to the smoke can be a pain especially if I have to work the next day However I may yet still be tempted

    Joe Bonamassa - 2013

The Borderline, Tuesday 26 March (this will be awesome, restricted access 200 tickets only at £1500, but gets you into all 4 shows with lots of extras - http://www.thegigcartel.com/joevip/)

O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire, Wednesday 27 March (I have tix for this one)

    Hammersmith Apollo, Thurs 28 March

Royal Albert Hall, Sat 30 March

Not many tickets left for any of the venues, which went on sale at 0900 this morning. RAH only has some Circle left, not sure about the Apollo. Few left at the O2 Empire.

For those who like the Blues, Popa Chubby is playing in Edinburgh tonight.

weighing more than 300 pounds with a shaven
head, tattooed arms, a goatee and a performing style he describes as
the Stooges meets Buddy Guy, Motörhead meets Muddy Waters, Jimi Hendrix
    meets Robert Johnson.
