Its a found footage film Grant. High production values and if you love giant monster smashing cities films then I think you will like this. If you hate that sort of thing then not for you. I liked this a lot. The early bits when New York comes under attack, but from what is chilling stuff. Shades of 9/11, the fear and terror palpable, but when its clear it some giant creature... it becomes surreal.Originally Posted by struth

I didn't like this, but I really liked Porter House Blues and Blot on the LandscapeWilt (1989)film adaptation of the Tom Sharpe novel written by Andrew Marshall and David Renwick. Stars Griff Rhys Jones, Mel Smith, Roger Lloyd-Pack, Alison Steadman and Diana Quick.

Me too. Drama shows them on Sat from lunchtime. Sharpe's Gold was on last Saturday.Been watching the 'Sharpe' films made for Carlton TV. Can't comment on the historical accuracy, but the production values seem high. Enjoying them all.

Obviously it invites comparison with the original.... and it compares very poorly IMO. The original was just so perfect that it was foolish to even attempt this!
