Accordign to an Eastwood bio I have he wanted to re-cut the whole film before release to make it a little less knock-about and bring out the motivations of some of the characters more (particularly Telly Savalas as the sargeant and also the corporal who just knows he is going to get killed) - he offered to do it for free but the studio had just changed hands and no-one there was interested any more.

Thunderbirds Enough people have complained that it isn't the same 1.33:1 transfer as per the original series, but it looks fantastic (even with the strings ) in 16/9

Never seen it look so good, only the first episode with 31 to go

E2A:- Holy crap, Thunderbirds has serious bass

Me to, it looks great! The strings are more noticeable but with your Ushers Martin it'll rock your boat i have no doubt

It looks & sounds great, though it's not consistent audio wise. Stuff it, i payed only £40 so no complaints!

By the way, i'd love to see a blu ray issue of Journey To The Far side Of the Sun

Yet another Jerry Anderson thing but with real actors, the original DVD was great compared to what i recorded off of Freeview, i live in hope

    I'm rediscovering MacGyver.
He was my childhood hero. I loved the way he could make anything out of anything and use everyday objects to solve complex problems.

It looks a bit dated now and some of the gadgets he comes up with are rather far fetched but it brings back some good memories.

Watched Arn Knight Templar the other day. Nice picture quality but Kingdom of Heaven this isn't. The movie is hampered by a low budget, so all the spectacle of the battles in KOH are absent and what there is....is well poor imho.

It still an interesting story (based in historical fact apparently) and the books by Jan guillou are well liked by the historical fiction brigade, so read the books and rent the movie. I bought it cheap so no big deal.

I'm currently enjoying Inception on Blu-ray. It really rewards re-watching as there is so much going on and the quality is good.
