It'd be interesting to know how they managed to lower the resistance of these fuses so much & still retain the correct fuse rating The only way that i can see how they possibly could do it is to use a much shorter fusible element inside the fuse itself

Any way of finding out without resorting to blowing one & taking a look inside?
    Bests, Mark

I couldn't see any BSI or Kite mark on them. So does that mean that they do not have UK approval?

I did ask a valid point on the product. And the question is whether it has BSI approval kite mark so that it can legally be used in a UK mains plug. This guarantees that a fuse or fuse holder has been manufactured in full compliance to the appropriate section of the IEC 60127 (BS EN 60127) standard.

Hi-fi tuning can be contacted here I suggest, as I am not the only seller of this item in the UK countless others also sell it and have been doing for many years prior to me. He can answer your questions better than I.

There's now a parallel thread on the subject of fuses here where more general discussion on the subject may be had.

    Hi guys,

I've been away for the last few days visiting friends and family in Glasgow, and so had missed this somewhat 'thorny' discussion.

The situation, however, has already been dealt with satisfactorily in my absence.

All I will add is to remind people that threads in the trade area exist solely for trade members to advertise their products and for members who are interested in buying those products, or have some other positive contribution to make, to respond accordingly with any queries they may have.

All other queries or observations regarding products advertised here should be directed to those concerned on a separate thread in the relevant section of the main forum.

    Cheers!

    Marco.
