Default Wanted: Turntable mat - SAEC SS-300, SPEC AP-UD1 or Oyaide MJ-12

    Hi,

as per title I am after one of those mats for my Sony TTS-8000 turntable, until one turns up I would take an Oyaide BR-12 if boxed as a temporary one. There is a 15% off voucher on eBay for the BR-12 at the moment and it's valid until 31st of the month, if nothing turns up before then I'll just buy new.

Do not want Tenuto or Funk Acrylic or SDS, only those listed in title.

    Thanks for looking.

I would unreservedly use a Hexmat, I’m using the Yellow Bird at the moment. It is superb, I hope to upgrade to the Eclipse in the future. Turntable is a Garrard 401.

I’ve tried a few mats with my tt8800 and the best one is the original
Sony, if it’s in good condition. It’s quite an advanced mat.

Unfortunately mine is bubbled a bit and causes the LPs to have quite a warp on them whilst playing, the underside is also leaking slightly.

That’s why I’m looking to replace it but keep the original one in storage in case I ever sell the deck

id have to disagree with that,i use on both my TTS's an Audio-Technica AT665BX and also an Audio Technica at-600 and both beat the standard mat.
They also better the tenuto mat i have too. IMO.

I've bought an Oyaide BR-12 mat to do me in the meantime.

I like it as it's more in keeping with the original rubber mat rather than a metal one.
