Default Slinky Malinky one of the Cats of Clawhill

    Hi Guys

Just back from a weeks holiday in Scotland and while there we made a friend....Slinky Malinky the cat.

Slinky lives in Thornhill near Stirling and he is a black tom cat who decided he did not like living in the village, he hates dogs, so a number of years ago he moved a few miles up the road in his own particular Escape to the Country.

Slinky loves hunting rabbits and he not only can kill one very quickly but he also eats them, so unlike many cats who play with what they kill but don't eat it; he does.

    I Can see you....

On arriving at the cottage we were greeted by this beautiful, friendly cat who waited for us going out in the morning and would always say hello when we arrived back in the evening.

On one night my wife and I went for a walk and Slinky much to our surprise decided to show us the sites of his home, so he accompanied us for a walk into the country and back again.

Rarely have I met such an interesting cat who while independent seems to also like meeting and greeting visitors to his home.

Slinky last year ago featured in a documentary called the Cats of Clawhill an animal Planet special made by those behind Meercat Manor. A lady from the isle of Lewis who is a cat expert had stayed at the cottage and had decided to do a study of the cats in and around Thornhill. She was approached by Animal Planet and she told them of the Thornhill cats and Slinky so a documentary was made http://press.discovery.com/uk/apl/pr...ats-claw-hill/ more here too http://www.freyacat.co.uk/2010/06/ca...ll-review.html

We hope to meet Slinky again maybe next year.
