looks awful, can only be used with their Evo amp, and they want a grand for it?

I hate half width components in general. What's the point? What if you want to rack mount?
    Current Lash Up:

    TEAC VRDS 701T > Sony TAE1000ESD > Krell KSA50S > JM Labs Focal Electra 926.

Modern equipment either looks blingy, cheap or bland.

Even when they make some effort like with that Teac CD transport we discussed a while back it's still only half a job. And then they stick a ludicrous price tag on it because muppets will think it's rubbish if it doesn't cost a bomb.

It's designed to be used only with Cambridge EVO DACs, so that lets it out for me. I do ike the aesthetics though.

My thoughts too. It'll probably sound ok too, in an Ed-Sheeran-have-a-few-friends-round-to-chat-about-Verisure alarms kind of way. If I was 40 years younger, had plenty of money, wanted my decor to be 'on point' and didn't care for music much, then maybe.
I just dropped in, to see what condition my condition was in

T/T: Inspire Monarch, X200 tonearm, Ortofon Quintet Blue. Phono: Project Tube Box CD: Marantz CD6006 (UK Edition); Amp: Musical Fidelity A5 Integrated.
Speakers: Zu Omen Def, REL T9i subwoofer. Cables: Atlas Equator interconnects, Atlas Hyper 3.0 speaker cables

    T'other system:
Echo Dot, Amptastic Mini One,Arcam A75 integrated, Celestion 5's, BK XLS-200 DF

    A/V:
LG 55" OLED, Panasonic Blu Ray, Sony a/v amp, MA Radius speakers, REL Storm sub

Forget the past, it's gone. And don't worry about the future, it doesn't exist. There is only NOW.

I guess don't buy it. What's the point of full width components if you want them on your desk? Or separates if you want an all in one system?

I like the way it pulls up the album art on the streamer screen when you insert the disc.

Although if you've got the CD case in your hand anyway you can always just look at that
